SENIOR FX ARTIST

On-site / Warsaw

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of FX according to design/concepts for full CG shots or integration of CG elements into backgrounds
  • Creating realistic phenomena such as particle, smoke, fire, fluids, clouds, explosions and debris, CFX such as hair, muscles, cloth, skin and crowds and procedural modeling will be a bonus
  • Lighting and Rendering FX work for integration into VFX or full-CG shots and sequences
  • Coordination with Lighting Artist to ensure seamless integration of FX elements.
  • Creation of set-ups and tools
  • Clear and regular communication with production management and other departments
  • Collaboration with CG supervisor to improve tools and processes to increase department productivity
  • Provide technical support to other members from the department

Requirements:

  • Proven experience producing photo-real and stylised effects simulation work for VFX and animation projects.
  • A creative eye and ability to balance aesthetic quality with technical accuracy
  • Understanding of physics, realistic motion, and assorted natural phenomena on different scales
  • Advanced simulation experience with Houdini and the ability to write expressions
  • Experience in shading, lighting and rendering and supplying renders to compositing department
  • Demonstrates good problem-solving skills and takes the initiative to offer ideas and suggestions
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and good time-management
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
